Space2cre8.com is an extensive social networking site developed using the Joomla CMS and a wide range of it's extensions, modules and plugins. It is a closed community portal that actually doubles as a research study to document how students across the globe will communicate given the right technology.
Space2cre8 is a Joomla CMS driven social networking site that centers around the Jom Social Joomla extension. It is integrated with a number of other components and plugins that extend the functionality far beyond the core Joomla and JomSocial functionality. Space2cre8 is integrated with VahAudio to enable music uploads, downloads and reviews by the site's members. Space2cre8 uses the Joomla component Kunena forum to create a discussion area where site admin and mentors can host discussion groups and post surveys. Members can also post and comment on blogs using the Myblog and JomComment Joomla extensions. To encourage immediate interaction among users the site features a chat module for students to connect live online. Space2cre8 has an audience from all over the globe in Norway, India, South Africa and the United States. To facilitate global communication the site has a dynamic translation component called Jomfish. This Joomla component dynamically translates all of the sites static content into a users native tounge with one click.
